Where can I check the product and the claim?
Use the source that answers the actual question. A medicine price and a medicine’s approval are different records.
The Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, is the US medicine agency.
As of September 2026, a government drug-directory listing alone is not evidence of FDA approval.
Where can I check care and coverage?
For your own bill, get a written answer from the care service and your plan. A public page is background, not a quote for you.
What do the words on a quote mean?
- List price
- The maker’s published figure, called list price, differs from both an insured payment and a cash offer.
- Self-pay
- Paying for medicine outside your insurance is called self-pay.
- Formulary
- Your plan’s formulary is where it lists the medicines it covers.
- Prior authorization
- With prior authorization, the insurer must agree to payment ahead of the medicine being supplied.
What can a fee sample tell me?
The September 2026 visit-fee and blood-test examples come from advertised prices, which may leave out charges; they are not bills patients actually paid.
Ask whether medicine costs extra and whether the blood-test price includes the fee for ordering it. Get your own complete bill with every service and charge listed.
