Am I paying for one visit or a membership?
Ask whether the fee covers a particular visit or a recurring membership. Get the included services in writing.
With telehealth, the care exchange happens by video, by phone or online, instead of in a shared room.
In a small sample checked in September 2026, online weight-care services mostly used membership fees and billed medicine separately.
These weight-care examples show why it helps to ask what a fee includes. They do not give a price for care for tiredness.
Does paying mean I get a prescription?
Ask what the fee covers if the first visit ends without a prescription. A prescription is the order a licensed prescriber writes for a medicine.
The Federation of State Medical Boards, in guidance current as of September 2026, rejects care based only on a medicine picked from a menu.
That group brings together state medical boards. It suggests rules for states to use; each state sets the rules that apply there.
Which fee questions clear things up?
Ask it like this
- Does this cover discussing my symptoms and getting a written plan?
- Can I ask the health professional follow-up questions?
- Are later visits included or charged apart?
- What is the charge if treatment is not offered?
- When does a membership renew, and how do I end it?
Keep the answer about services separate from the answer about medicine. They need their own lines in the budget.
